No doubt you have heard of The Law of Attraction. It is a concept that utilizes the 'power of positive thinking' to achieve specific beneficial goals and outcomes in one's life. This concept is actually nothing new, but was brought to the world's attention in 2006 by author Rhonda Byrne.  She wrote the best selling self help book entitled 'The Secret'  that created quite a stir especially in Christian circles.

Outside criticism received from 'The Secret'  suggested that its 'pseudoscience' gives an 'illusion of knowledge' and the references given to quantum mechanics is perhaps too much 'science' for the 'lay person' to understand; including the author of  'The Secret'.  I admit I haven't read the book, nor do I intend to. But as a 'lay person' with an interest in science who has a working knowledge of quantum mechanics along with a working understanding of God and His word, I know I can help you dear reader understand that the secret things revealed to God's children about God are for us to know. What God wants for us to know we are not supposed to keep a secret as there is nothing hidden from us that God wants us to know. He reveals to us in order that we can better live for Him.

This article will help alleviate critic's tensions and derision among Christian circles because I believe The Law of Attraction is correct, but not entirely  correct. Because with anything if God is left out of the details it is false in its own right and further becomes twisted as man brings his own understanding. Most often times this is a false understanding as personal opinion is confused with personal understanding and attaches to the ego which puffs up.  The Law of Attraction is not anything new and that is because it originates within Godly design. Ten years ago 'The Secret' was not a new concept, it was just re-invented with a 'new age' spin. A spin that wove a web of deceit that depends on who you ask, does it work? To some it does and to others it doesn't; this article will tell you why.


The Law of Attraction applies to everyone; both believer and non believer, both spiritual and non spiritual. ( I say spiritual because this is a non-denominational website that endeavors to steer the believer away from church doctrine.) The hidden unseen properties that make this law work can be backed up with science which in turn can be backed up with God's word.  The Law of Attraction was designed to work in such a way to help enable the servant serve the Master. But the understanding has been hijacked admittedly so by the enemy in order to serve the servant who believes he is his own master of his domain and kingdom. 

The Law of Attraction begins with a scientific understanding of some laws of science 

We all know scientifically there are unseen forces that govern the world in which we live. Gravity is an unseen force that acts on physical objects. Gravity is what is believed to hold objects  'down' or 'in place' on earth. Gravity is what also allegedly gives objects their mass or weight. However, gravity is not the only force we have to deal with.  When an object is in motion, parallel or perpendicular to gravity's force, other forces work against gravity (and the object) to create movement. While other forces work with gravity to help maintain gravity's stronghold while we or an object moves.

Addendum: Magnetism is gravity. The magnetism is created by packets of energy called electrons and photons. ( Photons are packets of light) Energy is constantly moving. For further study on this amazing concept please follow Ken Wheeler's work on YOUTUBE

A force is simply an interaction on an object that will change the motion of an object. Forces are described as the push or pull direction that are a cause of gravity or magnetism. Thrust, drag, torque and gravity are examples of forces acting against an object. These forces have specific laws or rules that when observed are consistent.

Newton's Laws of Motion:

Most of us are familiar with the teachings of Isaac Newton, but maybe a refresher course is needed for this study, so here goes. Newton was an 18 Century English physicist and mathematician who came up with some fundamental observations that can be applied to the physics of motion. These are known as 'Newton's Laws of Motion' or 'Newtonian Laws of Motion.':

  1. An object at rest tends to stay at rest and an object in motion tends to stay in motion unless a force is acted upon it.
  2. Acceleration of an object produced by applied force is directly related to the magnitude of the force and inversely related to the mass of the object. If you exert the same force on two objects of different mass, you will get different accelerations. The effect on the smaller mass will be greater or more noticeable.
  3. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. (Forces are found in pairs.) For example: A bullet is shot out of a shot gun. While the bullet is fired through the air by the explosive force, the gun is also pushed back by an opposite and equal force. (In this instance this would be called 'kickback'.)
WHAT DOES SCIENCE HAVE TO DO WITH THE LAW OF ATTRACTION?
The law of Attraction is a fundamental principle that actually holds scientific merit. It works on fundamental governing principles brought about through natural unseen forces; in much of the same way as Newton's Laws of motion describes. The law of Attraction has one rule that dictates 'like attracts like'. This goes against a common scientific teaching that dictates 'opposites attract'. However scientific discovery of modern era is changing the historical paradigm of scientific reasoning and evidence.

The Law of Attraction suggests that by nature two like minded individuals are attracted to one another based on similar mindsets and actions. An individual who expresses negativity attracts people of the same nature and an individual who expresses positivity attracts people also of that same nature. However The Law of Attraction also suggests that an individual of negative or positive nature can also attract and manifest that same kind of nature they are expressing within themselves, outside of themselves. Because of how one acts, or feels they are responsible for their environment either it be negative or positive.  The Law of attraction follows specific laws, but the interpretation of those laws are what make The Law of attraction speculative. According to God's word the understanding so far is correct but without knowing why this is correct one will never fully understand the concept.  Before we allow scripture to properly define what The Law of Attraction is or isn't, let's first break down the science.

The atomic structure is finite in design. The particles that make up atoms are too small to be seen with the naked eye. However under a microscope, scientists have been able to reveal the world of the unseen to make it seen and dissect the atom into its many smaller parts. The atom can be likened to a human cell as in the atom there also contains a smaller structure called the nucleus. In human cells the nucleus contains intricate organelles that help keep the human body functioning. However within the nucleus of the atom, the specific structures exist to bond with other atoms in order to strengthen the integrity of the bonded structure creating a bigger and more complex unit. This unit when bonded to other structures creates matter in specific states; solid, liquid or gas. Oh wait... science has discovered another state of matter; plasma (energy).

Within the nucleus of the atom contains protons and neutrons. This at one time was the furthest science could go and never imagined that maybe they would find smaller structures. Within the proton exists subatomic structures called quarks. Within neutrons there exists photons and within these two sub atomic particles even smaller particles have been found including unknown forces that are attached to specific sub-subatomic particles that cannot be separated.  For the purpose of this study we will concentrate on one specific particle the electron.

The electron roam outside of the nucleus and are excitable tiny substructures that enable atoms to bind together. They are excitable because they are full of energy because that is what an electron actually is; small amounts of energy. Scientific research shows that the electron is always moving but they are not free to move at random. Electrons only appear to move in random direction and this is because each electron moves freely within its own given space. While it is believed that electrons move freely about the atomic structure outside the nucleus, electrons are actually confined structures. They move about freely but within a boundary of space called a shell. Think of a hamster inside those plastic balls allowing the hamster to move freely about your home in safety from the family cat.  Only with electrons they usually do not exist in solitary confinement within their shell. Shells contain many or few electrons depending on the proton's charge. Even though the protons and neutrons are segregated from the electrons, those electrons interact with other atoms based on the information within the proton.

Electrons, when forming bonds with other atoms, either give or take electrons. This bonding forms structures larger than the atom that are called molecules. These molecules form the same bonding processes as atoms do through the electronic process of give or take forming bigger molecules which eventually form matter in its specific state. Whatever state of matter that is formed, electrons never become anything different than what they are; energy. Energy is always moving and sometimes that movement is so small it looks like matter is stationary when in reality nothing in this world is stationary.

In any state of matter electrons remain in their excited states because energy is constant. It constantly moves. It can move quickly or slowly but never does it become stagnant. This is a fundamental rule about energy because energy cannot be created nor can it be destroyed. It can only change states. Science shows us that energy exists in all matter because all matter is made up of electrons. In all matter electrons move. Their state of mobility is dependent on the state of matter they exist in. The state of electron's mobility within matter is called vibration and the rate of vibration is called frequency.

To better illustrate this properly, think of yourself on a crowded subway car. You are standing among others shoulder to shoulder. While it is obvious you can't move in a way that is comfortable for you as you can't stretch your arms, or move to a different area of the car; you are still able to move but only in the space that you occupy. You can move to scratch your nose with your shoulder perhaps, as uncomfortable and inconvenient that maybe. You are also able to shift your body weight from one foot to the other. This is what the movement is like for an electron within the states of matter it occupies. The electron has so much energy it has to move but that range of movement is limited.
When energy moves in the space it occupies this is known as vibration. This vibration excites other surrounding electrons creating a vibration frequency which in turn causes a magnetic field. A magnetic field is defined as being an invisible field that exerts an invisible force on substances that are sensitive to magnetism. Magnetism is described as being the force of repulsion and attraction between different substances. It is the motion of charged particles that is responsible for such a force.
All living things are made out of atoms, and those atoms have come together to form cells. The interactions between atoms in their many combinations of giving or taking electrons to form specific bonds are what makes molecules. Molecules are the fundamental process to all forms of life. With that said, the human body consists of 70 trillion cells. Can you fathom how many electrons humans must have? A LOT! This tells us that there is a substantial amount of energy just from our cells alone and those electrons exist in an excited state occupying their individual spaces creating in us a magnetic field that exists around us.

Cells have the ability to move energy the cells create around our bodies. Through specific chemical changes the energy is passed on from one cell to the other eventually reaching its specific destination. Where these cells pass on their energy is through the nervous system. This system is extremely complex as it branches all throughout the body beginning in the brain down the spinal chord reaching through branches to the limbs and the body's internal structures.

Electrical signals set the pace of our heart beat? Special cells within the heart generate electrical impulses. They are responsible for separating charged particles (electrons) from cells then they direct these particles to move into other cells which allow other cells to electronically activate. This network of electrical activity spreads over the heart instantaneously causing the heart to contract. The cells interaction with electricity is what gives you a steady heart rhythm; 72 beats per minute at rest.

So far from this scientific understanding you can see that The Law of attraction holds merit. However it needs to be understood that The Law of Attraction should never stand on the laws of science alone. The law of nature may have been discovered by man, but they were in existence before men discovered what they were. The laws of nature have always been a way of life and cannot change. 
GOD IN THE DETAILS
We know that God created the world we live in through the pattern of speech. Many of us often overlook where the intention spoken in his words actually came from. The fact is that when God spoke forth what He wanted to come into being, the intent behind His words is what gave the creative forces direction. This intention didn't just show up out of the blue; the intention that God directed with the sound of His voice manifested from within Him; His heart. 

"Jesus called the crowd to Him and said, 'Listen and understand, what goes into a man's mouth does not make him 'unclean' but what comes out of his mouth is what makes him 'unclean'." 
Matthew 15:10-11

"But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man 'unclean'. For out of the heart come evil thoughts." Matthew 15:22

God who is righteous and Holy only has the character traits of righteousness to create from. The creational foundation that directed all things to manifest is through His love. Love is the foundational emotion that all followers are to express to Him our Father and to one another. This is not a human understanding of love, but we are to instead emulate God's love back into His creation.

" Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love." 1 John 4:7

"God is love." 1 John 4:16

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."
1 Corinthians 13:4-7

God created things into existence by the command of His voice through the conviction of who He is. He is love and He cannot change. Through God's character we can understand that good things were created out of the goodness of His heart and He directed us to do the same, as our acts of righteousness come from the righteousness out of our hearts.

If our hearts direct our actions, then what directs our hearts to provoke us into action? Simple, our thoughts. Looking at God to understand how creation began, we can understand that what was in His heart to create; first began as a good and perfect loving thought.

"We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." 1 Corinthians 10:5

"And you my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with whole hearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts." 1 Chronicles 28:9

"The LORD knows the thoughts of man, he knows that they are futile." Psalm 94:11

"Search me, o God and know my heart, test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way of everlasting." Psalm 139:23-24

"For the Word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double edge sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow, it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight." Hebrews 4:12-13

"I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people." Hebrews 8:10

The life of a follower of God is about living an alternative lifestyle. Living a life of repentance as we are to change our ways of unrighteousness to righteousness. The current ways of the world has a mindset and mannerisms that are apart from God's ways. They are full of self servitude and without realizing it, utilizing the fundamental principles within The Law of Attraction people are using God's creation to serve themselves while serving the enemy. The Law states that you will get what you desire with committed consistency, but forgets to tell you that all your efforts in life that benefit you; you can't take it with you. The positive effort and outcome one makes adhering to The Law of Attraction in the end is fruitless because of who it is designed for. Is it any wonder why the enemy took the knowledge of creation and spun it to cause people to forsake God?

The Law of Attraction by action and effort convinces an individual that they do not need God. That God is not in the details. God is the ruler in all things, as God gives and He takes away. If He gives to those who are not following Him it is with reason; their eternal destiny is not beyond heaven's gates but remains on earth's soon -to -be- destroyed soil.
Opposites attract or do they?
The two dynamics of unrighteousness and righteousness belong to the Law of nature. They are in opposition to one another as they repel each other.  With that said, how on earth have we ever come to believe opposites attract? This is what The Law of Attraction dictates but it is God that tells us this is simply not true. Opposites do not attract. If opposites remain in each other's company for too long, one will always conform to the other. Have you ever heard it said ' you become what you hang around'? The reason why motivational people motivate people to surround themselves with positive people is because of this fundamental rule; one will take on the character traits of those they associate themselves with.

"Do not be misled, ' Bad company corrupts good character.' " 1 Corinthians 15:33

It is easy to assume opposites attract. The world we live in has a fundamental rule that everything has an opposite. Part of the reason why our world has taken such a dramatic shift (for the worse) is because the world is trying to change the dynamic principles of nature. The world wants us to be accepting of everybody. We are to live and let live and to be friends with everyone as everyone's opinion, thoughts and actions matter. Political correctness rules in order that no one becomes offended. We have created a merry go round of emotional backlash that we can hardly escape.
It is important to understand the fundamental law of nature because nature does not naturally attract its opposite. While there is a natural duality within nature, that duality is a singularity, not a plurality occupying the same space at the same time.

"God saw that the light was good and He separated the light from the darkness." Genesis 1:3

"God is light. In Him there is no darkness at all." 1 John 1:5

"But if we walk in the light, as He is the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of 

Jesus, His Son purifies us from all sin." 1 John 1:7

"Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness. Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble. But who ever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness; he does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded him." 1 John 2:8-11

Opposites cannot occupy the same space at the same time.  Light and darkness are natural opposites but they cannot co-exist as when one becomes dominant the other one still exists but is in a place of dormancy. To help make this better understood, nature can give us a working example as we observe this rule every day.

When it is daytime, it is not night time.
When it is raining, it cannot be sunny.
When a bird flies it cannot be grounded.
When a dog barks, it cannot be silent.
When you are awake, you cannot be asleep.

The natural opposites that govern this world dictate that when one opposite is exercised it is the dominant force that takes ownership of the outcome of one's actions.  The word of God makes it quite clear; we have the choice to be all things but we cannot be all things at once. We want to be righteous we can be, but we are not righteous just by sheer desire. Our hearts, minds and actions have to line up together to create a bond that is strong in righteousness. This is what makes us righteous and worthy in God's sight. By creating in us an environment that reflects the ways of God we are producing for ourselves a life full of blessings. The motive within our hearts has to line up with the motivating factor behind righteousness; love. If love is not in the details, what we set out to achieve is meaningless.  It is essential to be motivated by God's love and the reason why is because He first loved us.
 Where does the law of 'opposites attract' come from?
The universal belief that opposites attract comes from popular scientific teaching relating to magnetism.  The scientific method most of us understand is that magnets have two poles; north and south. When two magnets are put together it is the North and South poles from each magnet that attract to one another, while the same poles on each magnet repel one another and therefor cannot form a bond or cohesion.  

In truth, magnets do not really have polar opposites. The term 'North and South' are used only to identify the magnetic ends. The magnetic ends are not in opposition to each other at all. The unique properties of a magnet are like a flow of water.  Water always flows in a specific direction and flows down hill not up. The flow of water can be redirected but its natural properties dictate that water always flows in a specific direction. This is no different in magnets. If we were to imagine the flow of force moving within the magnet itself we can imagine the force flowing in one specific direction.  When another magnet comes in contact with the force field of the magnet, to create a perfect bond, the magnet has to match the direction or flow of the force that is within the magnet that gives the magnet its force field.   

If a magnet is broken, another magnet will be formed with another set of North and South sides.  The second magnet becomes a twin of the first magnet. The second magnet is the same in every way as the first magnet except in size. The point of division in a magnet originally has no pole and is perfectly bonded to itself to create a force that forms a magnetic field. Before the dissection or separation, the magnet had no opposing poles at the point of division.  Therefore even though the magnet is a separate entity from its original source it is still one with the source and the only reason why the same 'poles' repel is because the unseen forces that make the magnet unique are not flowing in the same direction.   So what is happening between two magnets really? 

When two magnets come together they either attract or repel each other. This is because of the flow of force is either in alignment that allows them to attract (opposite poles) or it is out of alignment that allows them repel (similar poles). Personally I think science mislabeled these poles. When two poles come together to form a cohesion this is because the flow of force is going in the same direction. The south pole of one magnet lines up with the north pole of the other magnet to bond, BUT to correct science what is really happening is that the south pole of one magnet becomes the north pole of the other magnet in order to perfectly join and create one bigger magnet. 

This mirrors what we are to become in life. We are to change our flow of energy to match the flow of energy of God through His son Jesus. God and Jesus are one because they are righteousness, they are love. If we match ourselves; our thinking, our hearts and our actions to unite them with God's character we become ONE with Him. Our character becomes His character.  The flow of our energy is flowing in the same direction as His.  Okay this is rather simplistic but at least this puts an end to the false and limiting belief that opposites attract because they don't.
Like does attract like
Magnets are created by objects that produce magnetic fields. Magnetic fields are the invisible force of nature that pulls or repels objects of a similar nature. Some magnets can loose their magnetism or become degaussed naturally or artificially, while a permanent magnet retains its force by generating its own persistent magnetic field.  

Because life generates a mild and unobtrusive magnetic field, it can be said that we are magnets. The energy that each cell generates produces a frequency and it is this frequency that attracts like frequencies to itself. Scientific discoveries show that the human retina actually contains a protein that enables us to see magnetic fields. Why the human eye cannot is a mystery to scientists. Another mystery is the fact that the human brain also has nano crystals of magnetite that have formed within the protective covering of the brain called the meninges. The studies and theories as to why the human brain contains magnetic crystals is anyone's guess and scientific studies on the subject continue. For this study however it is important to mention this because it allows us to perhaps grasp a better understanding that maybe the frequency of energy within life does have the potential to attract energy in similar nature. 
The answers are found in nature
Like attracts ( responds to ) like in plants: Do you know someone who talks to their plants? It turns out that this is not so 'gimmicky' after all. Scientific discovery has shown that plants actually do respond to music and are capable of making their own. Well, not really. Plants have the ability to make sounds and they respond to sound. They generate sound at a specific frequency and direct their root systems to grow in the direction of the same specific frequency that other plants produce. 

"I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." John 15:5

Like attracts (responds to) like in water:  

Did you know that there are spiritual properties of water? Water is a life sustaining element that science has yet to understand. It is an element that exists in three states but cannot be synthetically duplicated. What is so mysterious about the properties of water that make it so elusive to the ingenuities of man?  Water responds to negative and positive energy including the energy of human consciousness. Experiments produced by Dr. Emoto of Japan showed that water exposed to classical music and water collected from a jar when exposed to rock and roll showed  very different crystal structures when frozen.  The crystals that formed after being exposed to classical music formed intricate closed geometric designs that were highlighted by soft pastel colors. The crystals that formed after exposure to rock and roll formed incomplete structures and the geometric shapes were not uniform. The colors of these crystals were dark and murky.

Dr. Emoto also performed an experiment with rice. He placed rice in several jars, and filled each jar with water. He spoke to one jar using loving and kind words, while the other jar was spoken the words of hate and dissatisfaction. The third jar was left alone and ignored. Over a period of time, the study showed that words do have the ability to wound or heal. The jar that was spoken to in kindness began the fermenting process (fermented foods are healthy) and the process smelled sweet. While the jar that was spoken to in hate the rice began to rot. The jar that was ignored, the rice became moldy.

The ground breaking studies performed by Dr. Emoto have promoted other scientists to conduct their own studies with water.  Conclusive studies showed consistently that negative water attracts negative water and positive water attracts positive water.  In short, water subjected to negative environments such as negative sounds, emotion and pollution cause water to become destructured or dead. When this water is taken up in the body it effects the cellular structure and also has a negative effect on the brain where emotion is concerned.  Individuals who drink destructured water are more prone to become negative in thought patterns and speech. They have a tendency to become depressed and even suicidal. Scientific studies have shown that negative water in people draws more negative water to itself in the way of drawing other negative people to the individual. This shows us that 'like does attract like' as the studies also showed the same effect with structured or alive healthy water. Individuals who drank structured water were more upbeat, and positive in thought and speech. Their demeanor was positive attracting other positive people who also drank structured water. Please note that the air around us contains water also that is most likely destructured due to pollution and the ways of the world's sinful living and influence.

Conclusion

The Law of Attraction holds truth. However it is not the truth or the entire truth. Scientific understanding can help us understand The Law of Attraction but this understanding better helps us understand the ways in which we were all created according to the creation and direction of our Creator; God in heaven. 

All things vibrate. This is a scientific fact. All things that vibrate carry a frequency. Frequency is just the measure of the rate of vibration. The reason why all things vibrate is because all things are made out of atoms. Atoms contain small clusters of energy in the form of electrons. Are you starting to see the value in which we were created? 

God is light. Light has a specific frequency. But did you know that light and sound are extremely similar? Sound exists as a wave and light exists as a particle but also a wave. Even Einstein knew that the principles of sound and light were extremely similar that there had to be some sort of connection. Magnetic waves from magnetic fields exist on a frequency wavelength of light that our eyes are not yet able to see. Plants also emit a magnetic wave and have proven to emit sound. Many animals have the ability to see magnetic fields and use them for navigation and for hunting.  what is interesting is that all life forms depend on light, not just to see but to survive! Science has tried to study sound and light separately, however, what kind of detail would we discover if the properties of sound and light were studied together? Thoughts have motive and motive breeds direction and that direction is taken in speech or action. Where that motive comes from is within the heart. Scripture is full of teachings of Jesus that help us to deal with the heart which is the seat of our characters.   It is interesting that God wove His dynamic of being into our beings; his light. This is why Jesus teaches us in the ways that He does. Words do  carry power as they carry energy and that energy begins as thought that too can attract what we think about to us. 

There is power in positive thinking and there is also power in negative thinking. These two opposites attract the same likeness in frequency directly to us. Our thoughts are sown as they do not stay with us. The invisible force field our bodies generate interacts with the air around us, and interacts with the magnetic fields generated by others. There is a reason why some people have the ability to drain the energy right from you just by you being in their presence!

Living for God is extremely positive! While it may hurt to live a repentant lifestyle, once the desire to live our old ways wears off and we adjust to a new lifestyle of righteousness, the new lifestyle is extremely powerful. Positive things begin to happen and you begin to witness and live in the realm of miracles! There is a reason why God tells us to be of good cheer even when we are down and out, and sickly!

God who is light is spirit as He is sound. His spirit is a character that is trust worthy and true. It is love and His love is consistent as it is constant. When we begin to live a life of The natural  Law of Attraction, God's way of life becomes easier.  

We who are spirit have energy which is light inside of us. This energy generates a magnetic field that carries positive or negative thoughts. These thoughts on energy waves or particles are attracted to other similar forms of energy that are directed by motive. That motive dictates what we will receive and how much.  

Many people assume that The Law of Attraction will spontaneously manifest something good and beneficial. One cannot just merely think about things and expect results. As God's word says we cannot merely think on God's word but we have to put God's word into action as this action is what proves God's word IS true. We have to act first and then nature responds according to the motives of our hearts that is either righteous or unrighteous in intent. God's nature does not respond to our will and this is something that has to be made clear. God is not accountable to us, but we are accountable to Him and we are all responsible for our actions and reactions in life. 

You actions are motivated by a cause that have an effect. If you are motivated by greed and selfishness; sinful desires, then you are going to have to understand that there are consequences to those actions. This is also a law of nature that God wove into His grand design.

However if you are motivated by doing to others out of love from righteousness then what you will receive are blessings that motivate you to do more for others as you share your blessings God gives to you to others.  ( See blessings for following God in Deuteronomy.) 

What you are motivated by drives you to thought and action. If you are a negative individual by nature then this by nature is what you will attract to you. You will find that bad things really do come in three's, and you will discover that sometimes problems come at once. There is a solution to this but the solution has to become personal. There's a reason why God tells us in both Old and New Testaments to live a lifestyle free of sin. That is because sin and righteousness cannot occupy the same free space. The environment of emotion we allow ourselves to create is the energy that we project and unknowingly give to others. We give power to our emotional well being through the environment we choose to live. We are constantly bombarded with negativity that we allow to enter in our states of energy through our eyes, our ears, our mouths and this is so common that we give very little attention to the damage it is causing.
God created us to receive goodness through His word and through the goodness of actions in others.  The Law of Attraction is a far deeper and more complex dynamic than what science will ever be able to express. However through the power of God's word, the explanation of God's governing law of nature brings glory back to Him. The Law of Attraction is real and holds merit, but where people and science fail to grasp, God's word shines in understanding and truth. The truth is that there exists more energy within the human body than what we can understand and the five brain waves that exist at different frequencies in the brain are what motivate and direct you in thought and action. It is something that is difficult to change on your own, but it is responsible for why you have self doubt, doubt your faith and do not do things that you want to do.

The brainwaves you received in the womb of your mother as a developing baby even at 18 weeks was highly influenced by the energy around you. This started a way of things, and helped to set your motives and actions for life until you reached the age of seven.  This age according to the ways of God was the perfect age where your heart and mind should line up to form a specific way of thinking that caused you to act in love for Him.  You my dear friend were destined to live a life of righteousness right at the time of your conception!
